The Conference

The first edition of the Paris International Conference on Education, Economy and Society was held from July 17 to July 19, 2008. More than 500 academics and practitioners from 50 countries attended the meeting. More than 450 contributions were presented, covering all major themes of Education.

Following the same design, the 2010 conference is intended to be a forum, discussion and networking place for academics, researchers, professionals, administrators, educational leaders, policy makers and industry representatives interested in Education.

All areas of Education are invited, as are economic, political, cultural and social themes relating to Education.

The languages of the conference will be English and French.

The conference will be held at Hotel Concorde Lafayette. The hotel is easily accessible from Paris airports and train stations (View Map of event provided courtesy of MapMyEvent.com).

How to participate?

Participation is subject to registration. Those who register prior to the 1st of July 2009 will benefit from discount rates. A late registration rate will be applied after January 20, 2010. Also, no refund request will be accepted beyond this date. For preparation purposes, registration will be closed on June 1, 2010, and no on-site registration will be possible.

Participants may present a contribution at the conference. Proposals for contributions have to be submitted. Those authors of accepted proposals who really intend to present their contributions must have their registration fully completed before 20 January 2010, in order to allow sufficient time for the Organising Committee to draft the Conference Programme.

Registered authors of papers accepted for presentation in Paper Sessions and Symposia are allowed to submit their completed papers for publication in the Conference Proceedings. Authors may also request refereeing of these papers.

All authors of accepted contributions who wish to have their PowerPoint presentations loaded on to the computer of their session room upon arrival should submit these between 20 June and 15 July 2010.

Participants have to make their own transport arrangements.
For reasons of convenience, it is recommended to stay at the Conference Hotel.

Deadlines for all steps are specified on the Important Dates page.
